‘To say I’m fat is ridiculous!’

STRICTLY Come Dancing quarter-finalist Dani Harmer has hit back at the vile internet body bullies who have posted cruel online taunts about her figure.

Despite her success on the dancefloor and the fact that she’s much smaller than the average British dress size of 14-16, actress Dani has been the target of disgusting abuse on social media sites.

“I’m not fat,” Dani, 23, vents in an interview with Saturday’s TV Magazine. “For people to say I am is ridiculous. Yes, I have curves but I’m proud of that and I’m only a size 6.”

The abuse on Twitter was so bad that she took to the social media site to defend herself, tweeting: “Hate on me as much as you like! But I like being curvy! #ShakeWhatYourMummaGaveYa”

In fact, the Tracy Beaker actress is particularly proud of her bottom, which, she claims, is very similar to the behind of a fellow Strictly contestant.

“Kimberley Walsh has the same size bum as me,” she laughs. “We often compare them because both of us have a lot of junk in the trunk.”

While appearing on the hit Saturday-night show has subjected Dani to the venom of the Twitter trolls, the 5ft 1in star, who dances with Vincent Simone, insists being in the competition has only boosted her confidence.

“Strictly has helped me feel sexier,” she reveals, before adding, “but sexiness has nothing to do with your weight – I’ve always been confident with how I look.”
